This is a bit of a broad request, to kick things in this sub-forum off…
Does anybody know of any good data on arctic shipping routes (both existing Northeast/Northwest routes and potential future ones?)
This would include data around shipping volumes, current/projected route time efficiency, special tariffs imposed by countries on ships taking these routes (such as those by Russian on the Northern Sea Route), and anything else that might be relevant… potentially even stretching to things like datasets re: the types of ships that can safely navigate these routes today. Bonus points for out-the-box suggestions
Context: this is a very small part of a much larger cost-benefit analysis looking at climate change.
